Data & privacy
Your health information deserves a clear explanation.
A plain-language guide to Get Regular’s published privacy policy: health entries, AI processing, photo choices, sharing and where to ask about deletion.
Food photos, stool records and AI conversations can be sensitive. Start with the choices you make and the processing described in the full privacy policy.
Begin with the information you choose to enter
The published policy describes account information, health entries, photos, symptoms, chat conversations and usage information. It also describes persistent health facts used for personalization. These categories deserve separate explanations because a meal record and a device event are not the same kind of information.
Manual food and Bristol entries provide alternatives to uploading photos, as described in the release history and policy. Choose the information you are comfortable entering and read the full terms before using a photo or conversation feature.
AI analysis involves processing outside the app
The policy identifies OpenAI as a provider for AI analysis and Supabase for app infrastructure. It describes sending selected health content for processing while omitting names, email addresses and account identifiers. That is the policy's stated practice, not an independent audit of the data flow.
Omitting account identifiers does not make a sentence free of personal details if you type them into it. Keep unnecessary identifying information, including information about other people, out of your entries and chats.
| Your choice | What to consider |
|---|---|
| Photo or manual record | Manual entry avoids uploading an image for that observation; it is not a promise of on-device-only processing. |
| Gut Check conversation | Messages can contain sensitive details. The policy describes stored conversations and personalization information. |
| Integration or sharing feature | Read the app’s permission and sharing screens before connecting data or choosing recipients. |
| Account deletion | Use the in-app option described in the policy or contact hello@getregular.com; consult the full policy for its stated terms. |
Read the photo and retention sections together
The policy’s photo section says images are sent for AI analysis and are not permanently stored on company servers, while analysis results are saved. The retention section also refers to uploaded photos when describing retention and deletion. These sections do not amount to a promise that an image is never stored anywhere during processing.
If temporary storage, provider retention or deletion across the processing path affects your decision, ask hello@getregular.com for that specific explanation before uploading a photo. The full privacy policy and the App Store privacy disclosure remain available for you to inspect.
Each choice deserves its own explanation
Choosing manual entry, connecting an integration, sharing a score and consenting to research are different decisions. Read the relevant permission and sharing screens separately; one choice should not be assumed to change every other form of app processing.
Share only what you intend to share, with the recipients you intend. For a question about a particular setting or recipient, include the feature and app version when you contact the company. You do not need to attach a health record to ask how a setting works.
Questions and deletion requests
The published policy directs questions and deletion requests to hello@getregular.com and describes an in-app account-deletion option. Consult the full policy for its stated timelines and terms. Keep a copy of your request and any response when you need to follow up.
If you need a clear answer before using a photo or chat feature, contact the company with the specific question. Do not send stool photos or other detailed health records simply to ask how a feature handles data.
