A few clear answers before you start: what you can record, how to use the app’s insights, and where to find information about your data.
Choose the record that fits you
Get Regular brings food, bowel and symptom recording together. Explore the feature guides for the workflow you need, and read the privacy policy before entering health information. You can use the educational guides without uploading a photo or sharing a diary with us.
Your questions, answered.
What is Get Regular?
Get Regular is a food, stool and symptom tracking app published by Get Regular Health, Inc. Its public listing also describes AI-assisted insights and Gut Check conversations.
Which devices is it available on?
Get Regular is available through Apple's App Store for iPhone and iPad. Check the listing for current operating-system requirements and device compatibility. We do not list an Android version here.
Do I have to upload poop or food photos?
No photo is required for the manual Bristol entry described in the public version history. The same history describes text-based meal entry. Check your installed version for its current controls, and read the policy before choosing photo-assisted features.
Can Get Regular tell me what is causing my symptoms?
A record may help you organize observations, but a recurring association does not establish a cause. The app cannot diagnose IBS, food intolerance, allergy or another condition.
Why look beyond the last meal?
The last meal is only one part of your record. Keep the time of the meal and the symptom separate, then compare other days and similar meals. Timing alone does not identify a cause, and this website does not assign a diagnostic timing window to your symptoms.
What if the same food appears on good and bad days?
Keep both observations. Recording only difficult days can make a food look more closely associated with symptoms than the full record supports. A useful question is what else differed, including missing information, rather than which food to blame.
What do the scores mean?
Scores are app-generated summaries, not a medical diagnosis or a complete measure of health. Check the entries and gaps behind a score. Use scores alongside the underlying entries and any advice from your healthcare professional.
Can I use a diary alongside IBS care?
Yes, a diary can help you organize observations and questions between appointments. It does not diagnose IBS, assign a subtype or replace your clinician's plan. The food and symptom guide includes an IBS context section, and the Learn guide explains the diary task.
Is Gut Check AI medical advice?
Gut Check is an AI-assisted conversation feature. Responses can be incomplete or wrong. Do not use them to replace a clinician's assessment, change medication or decide that medical care is unnecessary.
Are photos stored, and who processes AI entries?
The privacy policy identifies OpenAI for AI processing. Its photo section says images are not permanently stored on company servers; the retention section also discusses uploaded photos. This does not mean photos are never stored anywhere during processing. Read the full policy and ask hello@getregular.com about the specific retention question that matters to you.
Can I export a Doctor Report?
The App Store version history describes a Doctor Report PDF. Check your app version for availability and review the information included before sharing a report with anyone.
Can I prepare for an appointment without an export?
Yes. Write down the dates, changes, symptoms and questions you want to discuss, and ask the practice which sharing method it accepts. You do not need an app-generated PDF to describe your observations.
Does the app include Weekly Digest, period or hydration tracking?
These features appear in public descriptions or release notes, as do experiments and Apple Health integration. Check your app version, offer and permission screens for the options available to you. An integration should not be assumed to transfer every type of health information.
Where do I check the current offer or subscription?
Review the App Store listing and the offer shown in your app before subscribing. The listing describes in-app purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions. Manage an existing Apple subscription through your App Store account settings.
How do I ask about my data or delete my account?
The published policy describes an in-app account-deletion option and directs privacy requests to hello@getregular.com. Consult the full policy for its current terms and stated deletion timeline.
How can I contact Get Regular?
Email hello@getregular.com for product questions, privacy inquiries or website corrections. Include the app version or page when relevant, and avoid sending unnecessary health information.
